Therapy that feels grounded, not clinical.

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and not judged. My approach is warm, collaborative, and empathetic.

We’ll explore ongoing patterns, build awareness, and develop tools that help you feel more steady in your day-to-day life — not just during sessions.

Meet Amanda

Therapist, At This Point Counseling

Hi there — My name is Amanda Knapper and I created At This Point Counseling because I believe there are moments in life when something shifts. Not dramatically. Not loudly. Often gradually, but enough to know you can’t keep doing things the same way day in and day out.

My style is calm, warm, and grounded. I won’t overanalyze you or overwhelm you with clinical language. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and create change that feels realistic and sustainable. We’ll meet you where you are and start from there.

I draw from evidence-based practices while tailoring therapy to you as a whole person — not just a diagnosis.

I earned my B.S. in Psychology, with a minor in Human Development and Family Science, from NDSU in 2018, followed by my M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NDSU in 2021. I am licensed (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) in both North Dakota and Minnesota. Through my work in college, hospital clinic, and community mental health settings, I’ve supported individuals from many different backgrounds and stages of life.

Outside of being a therapist, I also enjoy…
